The House
The space
This architect-designed home was recently built on the foundation of an old horse stable. Today it stands as a stylish, unique and cosy guesthouse with views of the majestic kunanyi (Mount Wellington).
The house is quiet, private and sunny, making it the perfect place to rest and recharge. The building features an undercover carport with contactless entry directly into the house, a large bedroom with private courtyard, a sun-drenched living area and balcony, a fully-equipped kitchen, a private courtyard with outdoor heating and a BBQ and a laundry with a washer/dryer.
Whether it’s a week or a weekend, the house is fully equipped with every amenity you need for a comfortable stay. Guests get to enjoy free bike hire, buttery-soft bed linen, super fast wi-fi, heated towel rails, European appliances, a smart TV and fresh coffee from the Nespresso machine.
The house has heating and cooling throughout, double-glazed windows and electric blankets, keeping it comfortable day and night, year-round. Stackable doors extend the living area, bringing in the sun and fresh air in the mornings and opening the house up for entertaining in the evenings.
Bringing little ones or an extra friend? The guesthouse includes a comfortable fold-out sofa bed and portacot.
The Loft@Soho is inclusive accomodation and we welcome guests from all walks of life.

Sustainability
We have a number of sustainable practices in place at The Loft, and are working towards becoming even more eco-friendly. Some of these practices are:
-
We shop locally for the milk, chocolates and other supplies that we give our guests.
-
The house is oriented to make the most of the sunlight, and features double glazed windows and ample insulation.
-
We use eco-friendly, refillable products for our guests as well as green cleaning products and environmentally friendly “Who Gives A Crap” toilet paper.
-
We leave reusable bags for shopping, biodegradable rubbish bags, and encourage guests to recycle.
-
We provide bicycles for optional sustainable transportation.
-
We use sustainable linen sheets, and use solar power to clean/dry the dirty linen. We encourage use of the eco setting on the property’s washing machine, and provide the option of using a clothes horse for drying.
